They have al been cleaned. I posted my formula on another post. I know your not supposed to clean them but I do anyway. I think I called post "home made penny polish." It works well to clean up pennies.

Hit edge of park along tree line as well as in the trees. Think I got some poison ivy
. The larger token, I thought was large cent when I was pulling out of ground, only to discover its an AA 18 year coin
. Well I bet its the only one I will ever find. 2 Mercs, 1 wheat and some clad. Tomorrow is another huntin day!
Points as follows:
p's-17=1.7 pts
n's-5= 1 pt
d's-22=4.4 pts
q's-11=2.75 pts
2 Silver merc's= 30 pts
wheat = 10 points
2 tokens= 10 points
Total= 59.85 pts

Hit park and went for deep signals over 4" 28 or higher or high pitched tones. ML explorer owners know what I mean. details as follows:

Total= 48.2 pts

I am sticking to my search for deep target philosophy. Today was another good day. I am havinf a hard time getting a shot of ring mark. If needed I will continue to try.

This is two days worth of hunts. Thursday was 5 hours in NYC Park. Buddy has NYC permit so he showed me his haunts. OMG! Those park are heavy trash, used Sunray 5" coil but when you hit, DAAAAAAMMMM! It paid off well! Friday was NJ Beach. Really well on Clad. Total finds 10.65 (face Value). Having your boss think you are at trade seminar, Priceless! Break down as follows:
q's-21=5.25 pts
d's-33=6.6 pts
n's-18=3.6 pts
p's-37=7.7 pts
Merc's ('34,'18,'29,'23,'35,'18)-6= 90 pts
Indian's('87,'90,'93)-3=45 pts
Barber D (1913)-1=15 pts
1908 V nickel-1=10 pts
1943 Nickel-1=10 pts
Total = 178.15

In NYC you need a permit to hunt, and you can only hunt certain parks or risk arrest. For legal reasons I can say I was told the park we hunted was on the OK list, but I did not see list. My buddies collection is amazing. In 8 years he has 2-300 indians, a 3 liter bottle of wheats, piles of mercs, barbers and Liberty nickels. He has over 100 large cents and so many coins it hard to discribe. He calls it his 401K. He only digs deep coins. He does not even bend over for clad. He runs a minelab XS like me, and was nice enough to tweek my settings. I have never seen someone understand the explorer machines like he does. On this trip he hit 9 mercs, 11 indians, an 1836 capped bust dime, 2 barber quarters and a large cent!! He has custom coils that I have never seen. I will see him again in 2 weeks and will take pics of his machine and some of his collection. It is amazing!:spin: I wish I lived in NYC and could hunt there full time.
That is a truely amazing bunch of treasure you found DC!!

8/18/08 tot lot/beach hunt
Spent am at tot lot and beach. Found braclet at tot lot. Got hounded by pack of kids. I left tot lot for grass and kids followed, would not leave me alone, and I got the dirty looks from the parents....too many 48 hours horror stories so I left for beach. Glad I did, first find was silver ring, 20 minutes later found ruby/14k ring under cig pack. Thought cig pack set off detector so pushed it aside and still signal there. I thought it was a nickel... best nickel I ever found!:spin: Breakdown as follows:

Hit my favorite park this morning right as the sprinklers were going. Good thing cause the ground is hard as a rock. Went for the deep targets, except for a quarter sitting right in the open next to a tree.. Dog tad is recent and cub scout scark holder is my 6th or 7th. Break down is as follows:
p's-16 =1.6 pts
d's-1 = .20 pts
q's-2 = .5 pts
tokens-2 = 10 pts
merc's-3 = 45 pts
indian-1 = 10 pts
