After a week of no metal detecting I made it out this morning on one of my field permissions that was not planted this year due to the weather.
I found a few wheat pennies, my 30th silver coin for the year and some brass buckles along with various types of rubbish.
I had a signal on the Nox 600 that was bouncing 11 12 13. But settled in on 11/12. Thinking that it would be pull tab or a nickel what a surprise I had. Without my prescription glasses on I thought I had a gold coin in the dirt clod. Instead it was my first gold ring with the Nox.
There was no markings in the band. So I took it to a local pawn shop and it tested 10K. It weighs out at 1.8 grams.
I was running in Park 2, it ground balance that 55 iron bias 1 and my recovery speed at 2
