Sterling thimble thread!

That one is rather pretty, and personalized, too! Was this found at a homesite? If so, is it possible to track down whether an "Annie" lived there in the past? It's always neat to learn more about our finds. :waytogo:
It was found in a residential home's front yard...the current owner had moved in only about 2 years prior. I didn't realized it had "Annie" on it until I got home.

I was lucky enough last year to find a silver one stuffed inside a tin one

Steve

Fantastic find Jeff. Second?!?!? I've only found an aluminum one, very badly want to find a sterling one some day. Congrats and good to see your post. I need to get out more!!!

Jeff, I have found one other at an 1870s home I got permission for a couple years ago. When I showed it to the 90+ year old home owner, he said it must have belonged to his mother or grandmother so I insisted he keep it.

We need to meet up for a hunt this spring! I still drive up the hill frequently.
