Sterling thimble thread!

I found my 2nd silver thimble recently. It's a Ketcham & Mcdougall "Damask Flowered" circa 1890. It's slightly out of round at the opening.View attachment 590391View attachment 590392View attachment 590393View attachment 590394

That one is rather pretty, and personalized, too! Was this found at a homesite? If so, is it possible to track down whether an "Annie" lived there in the past? It's always neat to learn more about our finds.

It was found in a residential home's front yard...the current owner had moved in only about 2 years prior. I didn't realized it had "Annie" on it until I got home.

Jeff, I have found one other at an 1870s home I got permission for a couple years ago. When I showed it to the 90+ year old home owner, he said it must have belonged to his mother or grandmother so I insisted he keep it.

We need to meet up for a hunt this spring! I still drive up the hill frequently.
