Stavr Scoop EVROEXCAVATOR-2 v.22

Ya buy something cheap it breaks ,ya get a better scoops,i have them,i seen your scoop's crack between the hex holes, and handles break, sorry :imo: they are not the best, because of the issue's posted, let me make myself clear,i am open to all scoops,i am not a stavr scoop guy,a Sunspot scoop guy,rtg Scoop guy, diablo scoop guy,but i do pay attention to posts, issues, product's,i can tell you this,by looking at the picks ,3 pressure point's to relieve the stress of torque applied to the handle down to the head is with out a dought a better than a scoop with 1 pressure point taking all the stress when the handle exits the throat of the head,no brainer, wish you luck with your scoop's but, sorry i disagree, happy hunting,:laughing:oh beachhog,i dont have to use home depo handles, mine dont break :heartylaugh:

SurfMaster I have no issue with you :yes:But I hunt hard and long and as much as I can. I own 3 other types of scoops excluding Sun spot not because I don't like it simply I don't have it.......So Stavr in my honest opinion is the best and is very comfortable to use  talking from my personal experience with the tool . It is built like a tank:yes: So does it mean that you can not brake it :?: I do not know ,if you use it under some crazy conditions like digging in the boulders and really take advantage of it you probably could ,but here is the catch .There are many types of Stavr scoops ,made out of different steel and each one has it's own use .
That is all I have to say.
Good luck and HH

I have to admit I get a chuckle out of these threads... we each have our own favorite type of scoops... personally I use a babbs scoop.. I tried the 90 degree scoops years ago and I hated them but to each their own

Earl... the Ravens lost get over it

beachhog /Craig

I here ya beachhog,i asked Stavr 3 questions waiting for an answer to my ?s from him,ya Craig it might take a while for me to get over the Ravens loosing like that at the end:no:,your wright still not over that, does babbs still make scoops,i want to see the diablo scoops to,my Sunspots will all be 20 degrees, soon thanks to Chuck, great guy,PI JOE ,has been right on the football so far,how is the winter hunting been up Ct Craig:?: beachhog sunspots are 304 stainless

What hunting? I haven't been out in weeks... bum leg...

Surfmaster....

I don't have a bias either way on a Stavr scoop or a Stealth scoop (I own one of each brand). I can answer 2 of the 3 questions you asked Ruslan about his scoops.

1. Ruslan doesn't supply or sell any handles with his scoops. The handles that are breaking are customer's own bought/modified handles. He's stated before that he's not in the handle business, and that it would cost too much in shipping charges to deliver scoop handles internationally.

2. Ruslan has both metric and US measurements on all his scoop specs, including pipe size. They are difficult to see on his picture backgrounds, but they are listed.

3. Extended Warranty? Now for the answer to that question, Ruslan will have to give his reasoning for that. 304 Stainless should last a long time, and be able to handle a lot of rough conditions. You bring up a good point about stress cracking between the honeycomb openings though.

Raphis

Surfmaster, I've never had a problem with stress cracking in that area. I didn't even know it was possible until I saw OldBeachNut showing a pic of stress cracks between the hex holes of a scoop.

Surf Мастер.
1) I was not producing and did not not sell handle.
I can only give recommendations
2) designation and is a metric and inch.
but if you the great Roman math problems with fractions then read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraction_ (mathematics).
3) I give a guarantee of 3 months. This question has been debated and I expressed my point of view.
(I do not care how many other manufacturers guarantee. 2 weeks or in full life)

I beleave the stress cracks OBN showed were from the Diablo scoop. I got to play with both Titanum and Aluminum models during our hunt together. The problems are going to be worked out before they are released and are 100%. Really nice scoops BTW.

This is the time of year when us sand fishers get out gear together. Most of us even are still hunting.

Ive been using the Babbs Toro Oro for some time now. How ever i do like the looks of the Stavr scoops. They look like they would drain really well.

Is Vernon still making that scoop? I like that one

I'm right there hunting the rocky shores of the LI sound with you guys. We don't have that soft, plush girly sand these other guys get to sift though. Most scoops don't last long here.

Stavr /warrenty/my opinion

Stavr, the same feeling's as Craig, on your scoop's,however i am one only to buy products, with the best warrenty, manufacturer standing behind there product,so when it comes down to it,i will stick to the Stealth scoop's,304 stainless, built and backed with a 3 year warrenty to last, seem's like, with you,it's( take what you get),no room for improvement's,hinder's infrastructure, and growth opportunities, wish you the best, happy hunting,Earl

There is a point here that is being missed. It is not just a matter of being Imperial (British/US) or metric but the actual size. 1 1/4" is horrible (in my opinion and others who have tested my 1 3/8" handle) and is simply more difficult to grip

Chuck

Chuck-N-Detroit. I have long and successfully been using handle 30mm = 1.18 "= 1 6/32" of ash and I see no comfort or other desired qualities of the use of a thicker handle ....

These threads are getting ridiculous.

I'm sure there are many good scoops out there and Ruslan's are one of them.

I know he's not a sponsor thus doesn't get any love from the owners/moderators on this site but it's quite annoying seeing time and time again one member spread falsehoods against a perfectly sound product. I don't know this members motives, but it seems he has more at stake in slandering Ruslan's products than he lets on.

Surf Master, we get it. You think Ruslan's scoops break handles. No need to post your feelings in so many posts....gets old quick.

I think Ruslan makes the best scoops out there right now and doesn't charge and arm and a leg for them. The only "problems" I've ever had was choosing cheap wood handles. Got a parrafin-coated ash handle now and it ain't going anywhere.

Hi Stewart. Hope all is well eh!
