cool thread! i have a bunch of these that where my dads, alot of the same ones on here. when i was like 7 years old me and my friend dug all the way to the bottom of the sandbox at school and i found a really old cast iron truck from probly the 20s or 30s in the clay.

I have a few others somewhere, but I just discovered that this is a Tootsie Toy that was a prize in Cracker Jack boxes in the 30's.

That is a neat tootsie car digger.

Found these on November 24, 2012 buried behind an abandoned house along U.S. Route 395 in California. My first TootsieToy digs!

The first picture is of all the things we found in our yard this year. The Tootsies are on the top right. The previous owners of our house had five boys.
The second photo is not of a Tootsie but of a Monoil, which was originally red, and was recently found at a home in our neighborhood.
The last photo is of MY tootsie which I lost as a child and recovered a couple weeks ago in my parents' yard. I also found a matchbox cannon I had lost as well. Boy did they bring back memories!!

Found my first Tootsietoy this weekend

Just dug my first Tootsietoy 1/4/2013. It got me excited. You know, everybody has dug one so I want one also kinda thing! It is marked Tootsietoy, Chicago 24, Ford, USA. I think it is from the early 1960s.

I'm not sure if this is a Tootsie or not, but I found it yesterday in my yard.

::EDIT:: I just flipped it over again and saw that it is a Lark Tootsie toy.

These seven are the only ones I have found marked Tootsie. I have Miget toy, and unmakred also.

The large boat was the only land find. Rest were water.

This is my second MD Tootsie (I think it is Tootsie anyway, not marked), but first intact one I have dug, found in a park today.
