Short hunt

On Christmas Day I decided to hunt an old downtown park that has given me many barbers, mercs, a few seated and a 5 gram gold nugget in the past.

After digging a few holes with aluminum I moved to where I dug up a 1854 half dime 10 years ago.
On my Fifth hole I dug up a 1858 seated Dime. The VDI on the D2 showed a 88-87 at 6 inches on bar graph but it was more like 2 inches. The workers that maintain this place were working on a waterline last year. If the VDI on the D2 depth bar graph was 2 inches I wouldn’t have dug it. My 6th seated from this old patch of grass.

Going back today for that gold coin. Here’s a picture of my 5 gram gold nugget I dug up last year from the downtown grassy area.
