I've been seeing a lot of scouting memorabilia and thought I would show ya'll the stuff we have. We have been hunting scout camps for better than 12 years. One is still open to detecting the other one is now closed to the hobby as it has become a nature conservancy. That's ok, we really covered that place pretty good. One of the things we found a lot of were the kerchief slides. Over that time we found fifty of the crazy things. No idea what we will be doing with them though. Along with the slides we found tokens, fobs, and pins. I do have a sterling scout ring but couldn't find it. Anyway, they were fun to find. The eagle head looks to be part of a staff or something similar as it fits down into a pole or metal tube. My wife found the gold plated on from Camp Tapico. Should have seen the look on my face when she called me over and only the rim was sticking out of the plug. :jawdrop:That was a cool find for her. Wow you're clobbering those neckerchief slides, good job pal. Hope the white stuff melts soon for you.

Webelos has an asterisk because I also found a badge from the thing they hang their achievement pins on. My three adult sons are all Eagles, and we lost our fair share of stuff over the years. I chuckle every time I find something.
