Remembering Scuba

I read most of his stories the places he detected had zero visibility and current...he was a brave person and gave a lot to the hobby. Rip scuba

Great thread KOB, thanks for creating. I loved it when Scuba unveiled his detecting truck with the light on top. Talk about taking it to the next level! And all of his posts about the old gold he would find and show a picture of what the beaches looked like back in the early 1900s. I'm pretty sure he found most of the gold that was left behind, he certainly had found a lot.

I do ENJOY my life knowledge and EDUCATION at this point in my life!

More wisdom exhibited...your the only one with an education I guess...sorry mods I won’t respond any more...Scuba loved a good fight however

Still using my cleansweep coil that I won from a contest of his. He had the best contests IMO!

Yes, Scuba was very generous, and he did have some very generous free contests, one of his free contests was how I got my Nox 800 which included a wireless headset. Garrett propointer, Lesche digger and other goodies, very much appreciated since my modest hobby budget did not allow for me to be able to buy such a pricey detector.

Found the link to all the stuff that was included in the prize package:

Very generous for a free contest !!!!

I sure miss him. I followed him on his FB page too. His daughter still posts there from time to time. I absolutely loved his recovery stories. Great man. Heaven is blessed to have him.

Yes. The average person here can boast of a few "save-the-day" stories a year. But scuba detective had sometimes several per week ! I used to tell him that "If salvation was by works, then : They're saving a place for you next to Mother Teresa". Doh !

PLEASE GUYS. Refrain some on this thread about nonsense BS ! Y'all know I can start up a special thread for each of you. This is about Scuba , his 1 year of passing. Talk about him , your memories of him and how he possibly affected you in a positive light. You can't get more hardcore than him. Living life to the max.
Respectively.....
Thank you

There is a time and place for other things but this was neither the time of place for taking this thread off the rails... thread reported, thread cleaned up.

This was to remember Robert a good guy with a big heart who will be missed...

Every time I go for a dive I think of him and I also think he's probably been to this spot before and cleaned it out! haha
He was good to me without knowing me, pretty rare in todays world.
Peace to you Scuba.
