PLEASE TELL ME THIS RING IS REAL!!! Quite possibly have found a platinum ring! Look!

no other marks? Lack of other marks notwithstanding, it's Mexican silver. I've seen a lot of Mexican silver and this is a Mexican piece. The motif on your ring is Aztec, The uneven interior is not uncommon in mexican jewelry. Also, there is an awful lot of Mexican sterling out there, and chances are you are going to find some. If there are no other hallmarks, it could be vintage, before 1948, when the eagle hallmark became mandatory, and then later, the eagle was eliminated, and the makers town initial, name initials, and number was required. That continues to the present. All the pieces with this type of stamp that I've seen are 925 (though I'm sure there are exceptions), making me think it is likely that a piece just stamped 950 is pre-1948. That doesn't necessarily increase its market value, but it makes it more interesting, imho.
