Hey guys,

I was detecting a spot on a beach in the Caribbean where they are excavating for a new hotel. This specific island has had a certain type of native people on it for thousands of years but in the 1400, 1500, 1600, and 1700's was heavily explored and fought over by the British, Spanish, and the French. (Specifically British and French) I Popped up was this old piece on the beach, it rang in high on my DEUS and was deep EVEN the with the excavation already going on. It looks like it could of broke off something from the top as you can see from the pics. Does any one know the age or what it is? Thanks so much for your help.

- Frank

Additional info

Also, if you look at it you can make out a woman with a dress on on the right and a cow head on the left. Thanks again!

That is a cool find! You may want to bring it to museum/ historical place for definite id. Congrats

Because you mentioned the Spanish influence in the area, I’m seeing a bull passing a matador as he swings the cape.

Clean it up. Just let it sit in a vinegar bath and use a toothbrush on it every 8 hours or so.
My wife found something very similar recently and it was a lions head made out of silver. Very old piece...
