My best guess is if you want make a donation, might as well use it to sign up. You get a real chance at winning something decent anyway. So you only get out a couple times cause you're busy, no problem, that couple times may net you and your partner a decent find to add to the total.
I think with enough entrants, we help each other, the hobby and do our part to support this forum. I am laid up for a couple months, no hunting for me. I will be on the prize aquisition side, making sure a lot of members will be happy come the end of the contest......Gil
 
ill be donating a lesche digging tool,some brand new books,coins and if i can find them a gently used like new pair of gray ghost deep woods head phones as some of the prizes,so just that stuff rite there is a great reason to join the contest and worth the $5 entry fee.

Thing is, I hate to be a burden to my partner- last thing I want is to be paired with a vet who is doing his part but because of me, did not get a shot of winning this. Since you and I can't hunt - we'd make the perfect pair! I'll even pick up your entry fee! What do ya say? Deal?

ill be sure to pair you both up if ya wanna join ;) a hobby is something you do during your spare time and some have more spare than others so hopefully everyone understands that and doesnt get upset if there partner cant get out much. that is the main reason for a contest that will last 3 months and one of the reasons for the partnering.

Pair me up with dglfi. maybe I can win one of the "nifty" prizes I have set aside for donations. I have a pair of 50 cent pieces. good condition a SL and a Franklin, that maybe I could win back in the drawing.:lol:, Also ten real sharp
mercs. A handfull of "V" nickles would round out my contributions...Those prizes alone are worth much more than your 5 dollar sign up donation. But wait, theres more. If you sign up before aug 1 you will also qualify for a nice supporter icon next to your name. I hope you all have fun doing this. Thank Relic Hound and Tinky for doing all the heavy lifting. Don't let limited hunting time hold you back. And for gosh sakes, if you are new to the hobby, that is why you are paired up with someone. Looks like it is taking shape here, once the contest gets under way , will there be a thread for posting pics of the finds to be counted up?? Also it looks like it will run over a few months (good for me I have my son out on summer Vaction so I dont hunt but once or twice durning his summer break)
The point system will be tough for me to score , My town is tiny and I have been beating it to death for 3 years now, Hopefuly someone will move away and there will be a vacant house :yes:..........A large cent and half cent are unheard of finds for the west coast, But I will do my best....Its all about supporting the forum........:cool:

yeah im hoping we can have individual threads for each team so they can keep track of there finds and ill keep track of points. but im not sure how much space that would take up..maybe the mods or admins may have a better idea for keeping track of what the teams submit?
 
Rules regarding pop-tops and clad?

I think all pop-tops must be dug out of the ground to count! Also, sometimes I will find coins just laying around. Not really sure if that should count?

You folks best watch out, these are my prime detecting months :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: ........But really they are and I have yearly averages and goals that I havent obtained yet .....so Back up I am comming in for the Kill ..........:spin::spin::spin::spin::spin: ..........Now with that being said , I am gaurnteed to BOMB hard .......
 
Vet Partner?

Since you can choose who you want on your team, I was wondering which Vets do not have a partner? Let me know if you want team up! I have a lot of free time and I should be able to go digging at least 3-5 times a week.

yup it has to be found with a detector.. i trust everyone will be honest in this.
