Nokta Makro Legend feedback, use, comparisons, etc

You keep dodging the points I made. Your comparison was a total farce.

Right off the bat, and your bias is already showing.

Quit watching then.
Go walk your dog or something.

Arenā€™t you going to tell me what I did wrong on the foil above dime test.

What kind of stupid reply was that?

You mad bro?

You want to really set him straight ??? Take his advice. Get a gopro and make your own YouTube videos. Then post and flood all of them on his threads ! The ultimate pie hole stopper !

The thought crossed my mind a couple of times, but then I thought "Meh".

With that said, I don't need a video to explain that on his very first D2 and Legend unmasking comparison, he does everything possible to get the D2 to hit the coin both ways, but he has the Legend configured in the worst possible way for unmasking.

TN, from your testing how would you rank all those machines you tested in this thread,,,from best to worst all arounder?

Too early still Woody.
For me to rank overall.

For the features alone for price Legend good buy. Cost less than Garrett AT max. Legend will definitely do more than AT Max or At Pro.

I saw the 1.08 glitch as it was called, all I see is the nickel ID might or might not be a point or two off. And possibly the whole mid conductor range might be a point or two off from a airtest at 0 go to a actual in ground target when go is used..not a big deal to me, I dig anything sounding good around the nickel range anyhow. Could be a good thing ,might get somone a ring..Iā€™m not changing mine, Iā€™m good with using these machines,I suck at downloading versions..

I'm sorry but I do not see the benefit of a test sweeping a small tin foil ball at 2". Maybe someone can explain that to me.

Steve

You go to a stadium, sports field. Lots of foil for example. Make no mistake there are some good finds shallower. Like silver rings and even some silver or other higher conductive coins, tokens, etc perhaps.

This exposing higher conductive objects works somewhat on a sliding scale. Meaning as space - orientation of lower conductor gets farther away some detectors could infact expose a somewhat deeper higher conductor. Some detectors may still report lower ID hence they may not dig.

Granted sweep direction can play a part too. Some situations even a less performing detector can expose higher conductor thatā€™s masked when sweeping form other angles. It is really about odds of detection (hearing the higher conductor). I like higher odds.

Example.
Minelab Etrac has better odds (due to operating freq) of exposing higher conductor with lower conductor nearby than a single freq VLF running at 14, 15 kHz. Even an Etrac with 11ā€ coil could have higher odds than some detectors with small coils running at 14-15 kHz.

Based on my testing. This applies to both Legend and Eqx btw. Some higher conductors will read closer to actual ID using 4 or 5 kHz single freq. Applies to Deus 2 too.
Now Some models using multi freq seems some program do better than other models no matter the SMF program selected.

He's doing an unmasking comparison, and it's pretty amazing that the Legend can even hit the coin one way, considering he's in SF with the high iron bias preset, as well as it seems he's using a discrimination pattern. Both big no-no's for unmasking. He should be doing the comparison in SMF, and the Legend at 1 for the IF setting.

There have already been over 60 videos from a buddy of his showing the Legend at Iron Filter 8. I guess tnsharpshooter thinks the world needs a few more.

He is not going to listen to you, Digalicious.

Yeah version 1.08 and 1.09 have been out for how long? Not long at all.
My doing videos has zero to do with CD.

Glad to see you come clean with flaw of V1.08.

The default Iron Filter setting of 8 in versions 1.08 and 1.09 is the original fixed setting from versions 1.0 to 1.07 according to Nokta Makro. Like I said, that setting has been tested extensively and used thousands of times by Legend owners......

Coming clean about the flaw in 1.08 was easy. I don't have a problem being wrong, making mistakes or correcting them quickly whenever I can. It's called having a conscience.
