I had a nox 800 liked sold it got a 900 and hated it too erratic so I returned it to Kellyco. Just bought a nokta legend heard they’re pretty good, will find out soon.
I agree great little coil. However I don't care for the shaft mount sitting slightly to the rear of the coil. It interferes with coil adjustment when hunting uneven terrain. The cable has a tendency to push the coil back in the same position you just adjusted out of. Also with mount in that place it seems you need to adjust way more than a center mounted coil. That said, I can say it runs very stable at high sensitivity and I have hit 9 inch coins on several occasions, so performance and depth is not an issue. My 2 cents. The 24 is a great coil in tight spots, love it in lots and along fences. Keep swinging.

Mark(pa) are you talking about the LG15 or LG24? or both?I agree great little coil. However I don't care for the shaft mount sitting slightly to the rear of the coil. Hi Mark.Totally agree with the LG24. Probably sell the round 6". Tell me how you deduced the depth differences between the coils? Test garden? It's something I need/should do. Test coins on the flat, on edge or fully edged at different depths. I think it would make everyone with a newer machine a better detector. I can see the benefit.

You'll cover more area and if I'm not mistaken, the DD shape of the LG24 offers stability (especially in heavily mineralized ground), good depth, sensitivity and a very thorough search pattern requiring less overlap. If I had a choice I'd probably go LG24 but I'm perfectly happy with the LG15.
Fanboy oh fanboy damage control aisle 6. As I stated the coil mount is slightly to the rear and it does interfere with coil position. If you can't believe your eyes learn to read a tape measure. But hell you think you qualified to offer advice on machines you a have never used and usually its when you're jacking another OPs thread. Please spare us of all that metal detecting wisdom you seem to think you possess. The 6" round LG15 has a rear shaft mount.
The 9.5 x 6 LG24 has a center shaft mount.
With reading countless comments from Legend users, in regards to comparing the two coils, I don't recall anyone preferring the LG15 over the LG24.
Jose, never had or looked at the LG15 so I can't speak for that. I do have about 80 hrs on the Lg24 and what I stated was true. The coil is mounted slightly to the rear and the cable does interfere with with coil position. I believe I also said the performance is great. But I do get upset when people think I don't know what I'm talking about, particularly a self appointed expert fanboy.Mark(pa) are you talking about the LG15 or LG24? or both?
