Nokta Legend serial numbers

Great info, thanks. I just want to make sure I'm not getting old stock. Like Kco did to me.
Perry if it has the carbon fiber shaft and the LG30 coil, and the OS is 1.11 or 1.13 then almost certainly it is a later version. It would not make sense for a dealer or anyone to spend on the upgrade to make it appear to be a later version. The Legend doesn't cost enough to justify the means. As far as Kco I can understand your skepticism. They got to big a long time ago and only care about the bottom line, not the customer. Give Bart or Phil a call, they will be upfront with you and guaranteed will beat most others prices. Good luck. Mark

I agree with you, it would actually be stupid for a dealer to pull that stunt but in this day and time nothing would ever surprise me anymore LOL

Easy as things get. Turn your headphones on, turn on the Accupoint. Pairs up within 20 seconds. Turn off the AP, turn your Legend on. Pairs up "fairly" quickly. Today the detector would not pair up for about 5 minutes, first time with an issue like this. Turned both off and then it paired.

Although I will not be purchasing a Accupoint Pin Pointer I am Curious
Will the Accupoint pair with any other headphones besides the Legend headphones, personally for me I never use over the ear headphones with any of my detectors, i use a neckband speaker produced by Avantree, the Torus which does have the capability of connecting to two different devices at one time, I also use a pair of Bone Conduction headphones that has the capability of connecting to two different devices at a time so I can hear my tone and answer my cell at the same time if I wanted to, I most always turn my cell off when out detecting because I do not want to be bothered with calls, all the devices I use to hear the tones of my detectors are all compatible with aptX LL Bluetooth.

like I said I am just curious but most likely will never purchase the Accupoint pin pointer, as I am very happy with my X Pointer Max that comes with the Magic Holster, how ever if Nokta were ever to update the Accupoint to be put into stand by mode when Re Holstered I would probably pick one up then.

I did make a recommendation to Nokta about adding that feature before the Accupoint ever came out but I guess it fell on Deaf Ears.

Maybe misinformation on UT so I'll ask. Once the headphones are paired, the speaker is muted while using the headphones?
True or False.

Yes when the headphones are paired and in use the detector speaker is muted.

Except for as old knot said in post #15, any Legend updated to v1.09 or later can have all sounds go through both the Bluetooth headphones and the detector speaker if “2” is selected in the Bluetooth settings. If “1” is selected, then yes, the speaker is muted once a Bluetooth headphone is on and connected (if not connected, the speaker remains active). If “0” is selected, Bluetooth is turned off and only the speaker is active, presumably to save battery if Bluetooth headphone are not desired. Pretty nifty set up for those who like to do live hunt videos.

Thanks Ben. I missed that one. Yes a handy feature if your hunting with some one and you want them to hear the signal. Not having to disconnect then reconnect is a timesaver. People who have used the AT Pro will know what I'm talking about. That was my one and only complaint with that machine was what a PIA it was to disconnect the headphones and or change coils. Those connections were not user friendly IMO. Back to the Legend, and this just me being lazy but I liked the convenience of the magnetic charging plug on the 800. I'm still getting used to having to screw in the charging cord on the Legend. Ha ha, spoiled I guess. Good luck. Mark

I agree Mark..I just got a legend but much prefer the magnetic charging cable. It's quick+no threads to strip lol

 Good grief, sorry about that…dang auto correct got me on that one! But I’m sure Rudy or SeabeeRon can make it happen if you’re game to roll with it!

Yep, I’m with both of you on the charging cable…the magnetic design is pretty slick on the Equinox. The screw-in cable for the Legend is a bit clunky in comparison. It took me a couple tries when I first got the Legend to get used to just the fact that you need to plug it in almost fully before the threads would catch as well. Like Jose said, I worry a little about a cross thread or stripping situation there eventually - but yeah, 1st World problem in the grand scheme of things!

All things have their negatives though. On the Equinox, I had a devil of a time keeping the charge port clean - mud/dirt from hunting, even tiny bits of magnetite or metal, adhering to the magnets. Early on, I found someone selling a 3D printed cover for the port, which solved that problem (pics below). But then I also realized I needed to change where I was charging the Equinox in the house. I originally was charging it next to my workbench where I clean my better finds in the basement…where I frequently use 0000 steel wool on certain items. It didn’t take long to discover that the end of the charging cord was efficiently vacuuming up a load of the tiny steel filing dust from the steel wool! I’m probably lucky I didn’t short something out the first few times I charged it there!! And it sure wasn’t easy clearing all those steel filings off the cord magnets!

So overall, just a shell game of trading one downside for another!

Bart hooked me up and the website states that the Legend is the latest version. I am loving it.
Did your have the 1.13 version on it?
Bart told my friend he was getting the newest updated unit (which would have been 1.13) and then sent him a unit that only had 1.11 on it.
Told him too bad, just update it yourself.
