New “Tector” Tomorrow!

Congratulations on the new detector, and best of luck with it. Let us know what modes you like best, and what that little patch of ground in your yard, has been holding.

One of the best machines in the market, and def one of my favorites.. In my part of the world I haven't found anything to really compete with it. Not the hardest machine but it takes time to understand it fully. Good luck, I recommend starting in de mode, 3h tones and sensitivity cranked. Actually that's pretty much what I use always, and been running the f75 a long time..As for coils, maybe a 5 inch or similar but don't buy anything else, waste of loot. That stock coil is the best for that machine.

Thanks guys. I took it out in the yard for a bit yesterday. There is definitely going to be a learning curve with this one! I am currently reading everything that I can find on settings that others have used with success. I do find it a bit overwhelming in that from what I have read, that the settings seem to be extremely co-dependent upon each other, but I see how that can add to the versatility of this machine. It's just gonna take me a while to get up to speed. I did have some limited success in the yard yesterday, but nothing noteworthy. Just got a few memorials, but did get a clad dime at 12". I can tell that it is far above my Liberators capabilities, and once I get the hang of it, I'm sure I will be happy with it.

Bill - De, Sure thing. I just know that the goods are there. This was one of the early homesteads here in the 1870's. Extremely trashy though. Definitely not the best place to try to learn such a machine. Maybe I'll try the school yard next weekend and get better acquainted with it.

Woodbutcher, I'm definitely gonna add those settings to my "try-list" Thanks!
It's raining so no experimenting today.
