Need help to ID this button.

I found this button at a local school yard near Rockville, MD. I thought it was a modern button. After cleaning it up, I think it might be older than I had originally thought. Any help with identifying it would be appreciated.

I was thinking it looked similar to my childhood catholic school blazer buttons.
thing is that was 30+ years ago and ours where two piece buttons, so I'm guessing this one is much older.

... bad "old" jokes aside, I appreciate your insight. This very well could be a school uniform button of some sort. I will use this info and try to add it to my searches and perhaps come up with the origination. This proves that, metal detecting is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. The rest of the hobby is learning the history of the items found. Thank you for you input.

Thank you DSM, that is exactly the button style and design. Just need to further the investigation with this info.
