Minelabe Explorer SE Pro Settings?

Find a good deal on a 10x12 SEF coil and gain an extra 2” depth over stock!

Does it weigh any more than the pro-coil on my SE Pro? I have a Tornado that I am selling due to the additional weight. The detector went from being nice to swing, to being uncomfortable real quick! I may have gained an inch or so more depth, but I feel the pro-coil is just as good (IMO). Wish I could find a buyer for the Tornado!!

The Pro coil is an improvement over the 10.5 coil, and probably weighs similar to the SEF.
A few hours of swinging the bigger coils can get to you, I bought the Minelab Pro swing harness which makes the machine swing light as a feather.

I've been researching the 10x12 SEF coil, and 2 things get repeated more than a few times, it's a love love relationship, no one dislikes either coil, but as for depth, few claim it's deeper than the Pro coil, but most said it was equal, and almost all of them claim the Pro coil is a lot lighter. Some articles from well known Detectors whom write books about various topics on the subject, been doing this a while, general consensus to know what they are talking about, agree with these two points.
That being said, some machines may react different than others, I believe when someone say that Detech coil goes deeper, it probably did for their machine, if I had to have a different coil over the 11" Pro, it would be my choice based on research of those whom have owned both.
Stick with the Pro coil...my 2-1/2 cents, get a small 6x8 that a lot of E-Trac owners buy and say works the best in trash, then you'll have it covered, it's the way I'm going to go.
