Might want to test this with your Equinox in saltwater?

I've had my Equinox 800 for a few weeks now and LOVE everything about it.

I've owned Ace 250, Euroace, Makro Racer 1 & 2, CScope CS4PI, XP Deus and AT Pro....and it DEFINITELY kicks the butt of all of them and obsoletes all of them.:agree:

Use mine on beach and land and LOVE it.:cool12:

Haters gonna hate and always whine about something.

Not hating on it. Just warning you what the guy behind you is going to be finding you missed:lol:

Hmmm....i will be following the guys with the CTX and ECAL....coz their machines will be missing gold chain..lol.

Hundreds of videos showing people finding stacks of gold with their Equinox...like i have....so i take it we are all wrong, should put the gold back and sell our Equinox?
LoL..don't think so.

If you have used a CTX before, I think your tune would change  every machine you listed are entry level/mid range detectors (except the deus), including the equinox... Nobody is hating just stating facts. I don't think Larry said the equinox absolutely sucks anywhere in this thread, only that it struggles at telling the difference between ferrous and non ferrous objects especially at depth? Not sure where you are feeling hatred or "haters" for the equinox?

Ive got as much time as most id dare say..... and twice your gold with it. Its a good machine.... but nothing so far the xcal and CTX wont find. However.... it seems to be a bit deeoer on the small stuff. Ive seen just one gold chain that made me set back on the couch because of it size. Its a good as the other two..... better.....not so far.... and I have 3 chains. Ive not yet found any of those repear irons being a good target.... but digits do seem to chanr fast based on depth ITSA.

Larry, With my CTX in the water I dig anything 11in since I have had real deep targets reading as Iron when the weren't. with the Equinox I will probably lower that to 8in. You are right it's not as accurate as the CTX. But it's light, Fast, Deep and way less expensive. I will use my 600 in extreme low tides were I need to cover a lot of ground for sure.
The deeper the target the less accurate. HH, Phil

Hundreds? Stacks?

You know what they say.. Pics or it didn't happen..

How about a picture of just one stack? :D

<°)))>{

Lol! Gold chains with a Nox are as rare as a Unicorn if they are small. Im not a dry sand hunter though. Maybe he hunts in gold mode? Wont work at all in wet salt sand or water. I know im running mine exclusively against Kapis excalibur and shes finding what i am. In fact it wont pick up some targets deep she does. But i cant run a blue excal wide open like she does. I value my hearing:lol:

No doubt if i was short on clams id just buy an equinox. You are right about the weight. I credit two gold with it not for anything other than if i was carrying the much heavier CTX i would have never walked far enough to reach the gold spot i took the Nox to.

Can you post the gold chains you found with a Nox? And i have tested a bunch of gold chains. The Nox may pick up an inch on some the CTX will see at 3/4". But the bottlecaps will drive you nuts with a Nox.

The good thing here is what you said, minelab tweaking the machine..So they can fix it,but will they.Thats what's nice about upgradable machines now,it can be fixed at home right from your pc

How are we going to update our Equinox? As there is no USB Port. There is no place to hook up to our computers.

Data transfer to the Nox takes place through the charging cord. It is a USB spec connection, both data and power are transferable.

PS: stop taking this thread so seriosly...it's all good fun and meant in jest.

CTX, Ecal and Equinox are all great machines.

Still dont see what this helps? Guy in that vid is running gold mode. The only thing that will find in salt wet sand or saltwater is a whole lot of nothing since it isnt possible to use at all.
