Memorial Motherlode Part Deux

I hear ya Okie! Exactly what I have with all the copper and aluminum signals. Ya have to dig them because they're reading like coins or jewelry.

Epi,
Lately, due to the "off season" iffy weather, and the timing of when I can grab some time to go, my visits to this place usually are only about 2 hours. I have done things a little differently on the 6 to 8 visits I've made. I have experimented with my Explorer settings due to the heavy trash, and therefore have hit areas over again. I also had about a 5 hour get together with JiminPhilly at this site back in November. I hit the areas he covered with his Quattro again, as his machine was getting quirky. I found the 2nd penny field that he totally missed, or thought it to be trash.
I started with areas of frequent use. Walkways, entry ways, building perimeters, around large trees, pathways, stone walls. I then hit the lawn area in front of house as if I was mowing the lawn (pattern). I have a lot left to sweep. I also hit the barnyard and horse stalls. There are four large fields yet to be swept. Two of them are being used to a small extent for soccer. There are two lower fields with hedgerows downhill from the house. I think I will cover these first. I am trying to do things methodically, but I do mix up and switch areas just to make it less tedious. This place isn't going anywhere, and neither am I, so I'm taking my time. I have this place 1 1/2 miles from my home, and the other historical area (1200 acres) about 5 minutes from me in a different direction. I also have almost 50 public parks within a 15 minute radius, but only 6 are older than 15 years. There is absolutely no shortage of nearby places If I want to just "detect". I really love older areas and the beach, which means I have to drive a bit. Spring is comming, and I will be setting some "quality time" aside.
As an afterthought, I have attached a Google Earth aerial view.
At 8 o'clock from the pin is the barn, at 9 o'clock from the barn would be the garage (covered by trees), then the house. The guest house is at 6 o'clock from the main house. This property is 11 acres in size. As far as how much area I cover, it depends on the amount of digging, and the amount of trash I run into. At this point in time, I've spent about 20 - 25 hours on this site.

Glad to be of help Epi. The area where the pin is, is one of the soccer fields. I am not looking forward to sweeping this entire area, although it must be done ( kinda boring). About 1/2 mile NW of here is where the Battle of Crooked Billet took place, 1777 I think. With that in mind there is always a possibility of finding something really old since this area was crawling with Rev. War and other Colonial activity.
