Just completed a HUGE challenge. I cleaned out the local elementary school and pulled over 100+ Coins in 3 days!! I also managed to pull my oldest coin to date, a 1929 nickel. I also hit 3 1968 quarters however 2 of them were magnetic which means only 1 of them was .500. Overall a fantastic dig!!

Let me know if you would like the link to my footage on Youtube :)

Thats a lot of diggin, well earned and congrats on the score and finding your oldest coin. Good luck. Mark

You cleaned up for sure, what machine do you swing? School yards are great, especially small ones. Where is all the junk? Keep posting.

Hey Mark thanks! Most of the junk was old rusty nails and some crunched cans. I'm using the Ace Garrett 250 how about you? I'm looking to get a new machine soon that is hopefully better. I'm planning on going to a town nearby once the rain clears up and hitting another school!

Very interesting, but I never heard of magnetic quarters?? Or silver after 1964?
Hey Matmit, I should mention I am from Canada. In Canada our junk silver stopped being produce in 1967. In 1968 they had a transition year where the silver went from 80% to 50%. I say the magnet test because some 1968 pieces have the 50% silver in them and some do not! Cheers !
