Has anyone used them? How are they? Comfortable, do they block the wind out?

Minelab doesn’t give you a choice for any other wireless headphones.

Hello,
Used for about 10 hours. Comfortable but WILL NOT block out high winds.
Now, it was gusting to 40MPH, I may be judging too harshly.
Do like them

There was a guy who opened his up and wasgoing to add sound deadening foam. Have not heard back yet. Of course that will void the headphones warranty but I may have to try it. I was already planning to replace the earcups if I can find a replacement. Someone thought the ML-105 were made by the KOSS company. Still checking.
 
I have heard really good things about the new wireless ML headphones. Could always put gel pads on them, that should help one would think, they are used in aviation.
 
I have them. They do not block wind noise. Tree branches hitting them are loud. Even a coat collar rubbing aginst the headphone housing is annoying. Not made for people with smaller skulls. In fact, I just got some over ear wired headphones to replace the MLs.
 
I don't think that I'm as picky as people are everywhere on how lousy they are, but they seem fine to me.
IMHO They aren't high performance headphones made for listening to music, they're for a metal detector.
 
I love mine I think they're the most comfortable headphones I've ever used. The ear pads have breathable material which probably is what makes them not so resistant to outside noise which I'm okay with. I like to hear things around me The volume has plenty and the sounds are really good The only thing I could think of that's a negative would be that they're not rainproof other than that I think they're fantastic
 
Yeah, us old guys with hearing problems don’t care about stereo quality, Just blocking the high wind and surf while we are chasing hurricanes 🫤

Where were you able to buy them from?
 
I think they are super comfortable and from my avatar I have a big head (size 8 fitted baseball cap).
 
Where did you guys get yours? I'd like to buy a pair for my Xterra Pro.

Mine came with my Manticore package. If they hadn't come with the Manticore I would most likely buy the ML 85 for the Xterra Pro and save $50. ML is proud in prices of the ML 105 HPs.
 
My only gripe now that I have owned them for 9 months is that I tend to turn them on by accident while they are in the supplied protective case. Like carrying the case back into the house after a hunting session a slight squeeze of the case turns the headphones on. I am going to put some material in the case to prevent this from happening.

No , they suck , my 800 headphones were better , you get all the noise with those headphones, ML needs to do a recall , expensive detector with junk headphones , that is my only complaint with the Manticore !

Hated my Manticore until I wired some Sun Ray pro golds. Wish I had some Original grey ghost amphibians with the volume knob. The Amphibian ll's have the sprayed on gutter leak stuff that kills the sound. I junked three pairs of them changing the piezo speakers. Have a set of Aqua teks. Even with boost aren't loud enough on the beach.
