Late 1800s infantry button ID

Greetings - found this button in a lake bed in northern Colorado. I know it’s post civil war but would love to get the back mark date.

It reads “Waterbury Button CO”. With I believe I single star. Can’t find a match online.

Smaller size and flatter style.

Found within 50 ft of a shield nickel so high hopes!

That is a Waterbury Button Co. infantry cuff button. They made the same button late 1800's to early 1900's.
