Today me and a friend of mine decided to go for a detecting trip along the shoreline of Lahave River, we hadn't known prior but there was a huge wharf they used to load lumber onto ships for transport. A curious landowner come right over laughing about Gary Drayton detecting Oak Island (about 35 mins away) anyways he has asked if we could find his property stake as the prior house burnt down and they landfilled it and bent the property stake. Of course, after we finished up we made our way to his place where him and his wife greeted us with the biggest smiles. We found his property stake and after a nice long chat he said we are welcome to go back and detect the whole waterfront property! So not only some cool finds but also a new property to comb over!
There was LOTS of trash... But managed to find some old 303 cordite bullets. "Cordite was used initially in the.303 British, Mark I and II, standard rifle cartridge between 1891 and 1915"
Random clad, 1 wheat penny, 1 unknown silver i believe, and a real shiny Lincoln! But the experience and information was the best!
