Well, I had a few hours this afternoon to get some detecting in. I went down to the same spot where I found my 4th IHP last week. I didn't get anything good in the yard so I decided to hit the curb strip. The very first signal I had produced this beauty. I almost died when I saw it in the hole and realized that I had found my first silver coin. I proceeded to find 2 other Wheaties (1917d and 1918) and some misc. trash. I found a 5 quarter spill as well. The neighbor gave me a great tip as well. he said that behind his house there used to be a garden back in the early 1900's. He immediately gave me permission to hunt it,and his neighbors house( he has been given control of it while they are away). Every other high signal I got I always thought was gonna be silver, but when I got this one it never even crossed my mind...till I dug it.
Well, after 12 Wheaties,4 IHP's and countless clad coins, I finally got it. It has been a long journey, but its been worth it. I hope to find more oldies when I go to the old garden lot later this week hopefully.
TY for looking and HH.
