Cut with angle grinder from 29” shovels one was a “Craftsman” the other “Do it’s best”
They hit me at navel height and are perfect for digging without bending for me. They can cut a nice small plug or larger if you wish. Blades are roughly 4x7 inches. Handles are 3/4 inch conduit and all precautions were taken to weld them safely. Galvanized is tricky and dangerous business. They weigh in at about 2.5 lbs and are a joy to carry. Ive given the first one a beating and they seem to be quite tough. I only built them because i hate to wait on orders and couldn't find exactly what i wanted. Hope you all enjoy the pics.

Very nice work, I'd love to make my own someday. Need to learn how to weld first, add it to the list of to do's I guess. Let us know how they work out long term!

Nice job! Soaking the conduit in vinegar will remove most/all of the galvanizing and make the welding process MUCH safer for everyone.
