Hey all. I just joined the forum, and already have read some great posts! I used my dad's old detector, a Radio Shack model from who knows when. Decided I wanted to give the hobby a shot, so arranged for Santa to bring me a Garrett Apex. I'm up in Northern Utah, just moved back here after 25 years in the Pacific Northwest. Looks like there is a world of good info and lots of experienced people on here. If anyone from Northern Utah/Southern Idaho needs or will put up with a tag along, hit me up. I would love to accelerate my learning curve by getting some guidance in the field.

Hi from the warm state of Arizona.
The Garrett ACE Apex was also one of my choices but I decided on the mulit freq Minelab Vanquish 540 instead.
