Gold Ring #78 FTY, 10 V's, 6 Silvers

Congrats on the successful hunt. That's a lot of V's for one hunt!
Thank You, Yes this spot is loaded. I hunted it a week ago and got 6, this trip I could have dug more but that's all I was digging in one area so I moved on to check other areas.

Daaaaaaannnnnnnngggggg 77! Seventy seven, *7*7* :wow:

Major congrats OBN!

Look out for that shark on your left man!
I was there about 2 weeks ago and there were skates every where, not sure about the sharks but I had heard they have been seen there.

Congrats on the gold OBN! Too bad about the stone in it. In 5 hours you pulled out alot of targets. Thats because of your skill and patience. I have to agree also with you about the Excal part too!
Thanks DBH! Yes, on the excal. My weapon of choice!

:dingding: That ring looks like an oldie - beautiful design too! 10 V nickels in one hunt!? :wow: That's 10 more than I've had in all my years at this hobby!
I'm guessing but the ring predates 1906. Anything before the 30's is rare for me but this spot really must had been hopping during the teens.

I think you can compete with Phelps, your shark proof buddy :neo:  bro,. nice find's , that many V nickel's , is surprising, you Da Man
Thanks Mr. Earl! V's and Buffs, I have dug so many in the last few months I now have a ear for the tone. the V is Just like a Buff...but not like the Jefferson. Strange.

You're doing well this year! Congrats on a great hunt! :)
Thanks You, this place always has interesting treasures

Thats alot of corroded stuff, congrats and nice gold!
Thank You,...Yes the silver dimes just break up, the quarters fair better. The bay is very hard on silver, gold does very well..I did dig a 9k ring a few months ago.. dark black..

What's a V nickel:laughing: Dang, I'm envious of you northern hunters, you find old gold and old silver coin. The old coin finds just don't happen down here on the Gulf coast. Love that ring, and you're ring count is awesome!!
DL
Thanks DL, The silver is a good sign here to slow down when you find them.

Wow that is a buttload of gold! 78 is just insane! Great year! Your dedication shows in the last pic  congrats !
Thanks You! Always getting bumped by something here, today I stepped on several crabs.

Congrats your doing well. Not so much here

Thanks Kent! I have several spots here that are just dead due to the sanded in conditions. Good is there are many places here, just have to find the right one's.

Wow OBN....as alway you killed it again. I always look forward to your old gold finds.
Thanks Jim! Been a Very Blessed Year!

Way to go!Nice haul ! Looks like a great day! Hard to beat an excal in the hands of an experienced user.
Thanks Steve, Love my Excalibur. Just about sold all of the other detectors, figured no need for them to collect dust.

Great finds man, and a heck of a ytd total! Don't let that shark keep you away...
Thanks Z, I seen a crazy fish today. Keep coming to the surface and would keep his head out of the water like he was trying to breath. Had me worried so I moved away from him after watching him do this for about 20 minutes.
another nice oldie! congrats
Thank You!!

78 is even better, +1 lol, congrats again!
Thank You!!

congrats..... and its a melter to boot. Having another strong year Joe.
Thanks Buddy, Some day I will gather all of the ones like this one and cash them in...just waiting for that new fisher PI..

Love how you edited the photo! Genius! Congrats on the 78th gold, now quit that or I'll never catch up!

Kapi

He can't throw the chum bucket out, than all the shark's will come,, :detector::secret:already one spotted in the pick, but he just should have left the bull shark fin their , instead of replacing it with the White , Joe's going to be in the next Phelp's Great White episode, instead of out running them, OBN will demonstrate how to mingle-, without a shark tank howboutit , PS he's upgrading his jet ski to turbo charged just for the occasion :extrahappy::egyptian: GO JOE

Todays Hunt was interesting...

Had a friend boat me around to a distant spot

Many Thanks for the kind replies

Very nice Joe... ever since I returned that gold ring I haven't found any.. but then again I haven't hunted since April at the beach... I have been doing some dirt digging as I have picked up quite a few permissions... from guys around here I am not missing much anyway :)
Thanks Craig, I knew you had to be busy with all going on. Good Luck

Man! You were right down on the bedrock with those finds! Congratulations on a really nice count old coin take and the gold!
Thanks Mud, most of what was found fishing thru some other hunters holes. Im guessing but I believe the two that hunt here use a CTX n CZ21..

You are killing it this year again OBN. Fantastic finds, That many V's has to be a record.
Thanks Scuba, I could have dug many more but that seemed to be all I was digging in that cut. So I moved on and did some recon of other areas.

Slow down Joe

Thanks Earl, I was in need of a new spot. Now I need to get a boat ramp permit for QA county.

I bet you knocked off a 2 carat diamond on that band on the right Joe  Awesome hunt.

Thanks Buddy, I know where I found that one so next trip out deep.

joe

They are only 10 bucks, but the problem you will have is, those ramps are blown out wright now, till crabing ends, than it rock fish time, when i crabed over their , it was a pain, your better off running the jet ski buddy, dont recomend the boat till November, cya Earl

Frank , it's been a long time since we herd from you, feeling better bro., we all have missed your post's , hope all is well, Earl

Always neat to see your finds OBN! I've been practicing in the water around here whenever I have some spare time and I can get out to a nearby spot. There are a lot of challenges in water hunting, that's for sure. Being 5ft4 doesn't help either 😂.
