Big Silver
Congrats on the Walker and dime. I quoted IDXMonster, because I'm old,76 yo, and was around 19 years when all the coins were 90% silver, and back then, half dollars were common. People used them, there was a place in the cash regester at the store for them. They were as common as any coin today. I collected many when I had my newspaper route. I had a bag hanging off my bicycle handle bars, and would deliver newspapers every day. It was my first job, delivering newspapers. There are no jobs today for young kids like they had back in the day. Heck, I even collected a SLQ one day, and I got a Silver Dollar once. Those were the good ol days. Heck, we never locked our front door.
It’s nice to find the dimes, really nice and not too common to find the quarters…when the HALVES show up?…it’s almost ridiculous to see that big of a silver coin. Like sensory overload….in a good way! And what a start!
