No freaking way

JUST FOUND OUT THAT TODAYS HUNT PRODUCED THIS

MY FIRST WEAT CENT EVER!!!!!

To bad I ran it through the tumbler because I didn't know it was there.

I believe its a 1926 D but I'm not sure, any input would be appreciated.

Also, most of the coins found today were in the later 60's, its a good sign!!

Here is a picture of a 26-D and 28-D side by side for comparison. Nice find! I always rinse the pennies with water to see if they are memorials or wheats before I tumble. Glad you found and old coin, now hit that area more and maybe you can find silver! Good Luck!

Thanks for the pic, most of the dimes and quarters I found there were like 65, 67, and 68's so there might be hope.

Well I didn't have a video of my hunt on saturday but there is pictures in the "stories and pictures of finds" Today I had to help my dad "bat proof" our shed. Tomorrow with be metal detecting day 5!

I was using the stock 7.5khz coil, it hardly registered just a few tiny little beeps. I normally would not have dug it and I was hunting in a vollyball court so I should have been using the 5x10 DD HF coil but I was too lazy to change it. Goes to show that coil frequencies make a huge difference.

I have no doubt that the 18.75 will scream when I put that thing in front of it, its just much better for tiny things like this cross. I should always be using it on beaches and in sand.
