Looks like Sonic is a good place for surface finds indeed ! :lol:

May be people are afraid of receiving change lately , I will stop and pick it up. Seems to be a lot more lately and I walk the grand daughter through almost every mornings . Still spend a lot more on the grand daughter than I find.:laughing:

Ha ha! The Sonic reminded KT of years ago when He was a mere Newbieshooter...hunted an abandoned Sonic, hit a spot where the shrubbery was dead. So many signals over a 3 foot by 6 foot area! Took 3 trips to clean out over $24 in pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters...many rotten zincolns and most other coins were copper colored from being naturally plated by the rotting zincolns! Wound up with over 500 coins...all in pea gravel. Later decided this gravel must have originally been in a wishing well in some defunct restuarant and was deposited there as fill in the shrubbery area. No wonder the plants died...from copper poisoning! Ha ha.

Another time outside a Wendy's, apparently the window change person was just tossing change to the customers, because KT walked by and picked up over $2.00 in change laying outside that drive through window on the asphalt!

Oh those good old days!:lol::lol::lol:

Wow, plenty of fast food area finds ! :lol:

Hey, the wishing well is a neat idea if you own property next to a busy public sidewalk, just put in a wishing well and check it for coins about once a week :lol:

Speaking of wishing wells, here's some earlier funny edits:

One of the places I have been detecting while down here in Florida helping with the grand daughter is a large medical records center which is right across from the Sonic so most of the employees walk over there for breaks and lunch. This place has 5 picnic tables sitting in tree bark as well as a area for parking that is for over flow and on sandy root filled packed soil. Only got to do a few short hunts so far but recovering a lot of coins from the 80s and 90s so not been over hunted. Only have access to this lot on the weekends when not in use. The records center appears to have been a strip mall at one point. Most of the local parks are still closed down and the beaches are at least 1 hour away.

Looks like his selling method is attracting customers !

Looks like Mud found a unique way to sell some of his metal detecting and scavenger finds :laughing::laughing::laughing:
