Kalamazoo area here. Really looking to get into water detecting for jewelry/relics and start some privy hunting this coming spring.

LOL saw through that? I am in Port Huron. I dive and mostly stay out of wading area unless it is a lake I haven't played in. Not very close to you but I hit a lot of lakes everywhere. I heard of a few out your way when I picked up my E-Trac. Will try to give you a shout if I venture out there next summer.

I used to live in Three Rivers, and that's an old town. I don't get downstate too often anymore. but I wish you a lot of luck on your quest for treasure. If you are ever up in the Grayling area look me up. I will say this. I live on the Ausable river, and I see a lot of people doing the canoe thing that shouldn't. There are a lot of places along that river that have seen a million upside down canoe mishaps, and the people lose a ton of bling. Tough to hunt in most places, but I know for a fact there is gold to be found there.

I just moved from Montgomery Alabama to Midland. I work 3rd shift 7 days on, 7 days off, so on my off week I will have plenty of time to detect and possibly go else where in the state for a day or more if the dirt's worth it. I have all the gear I need and did some detecting in Alabama and at the beach in Florida. Never found anything major. Looking for hunting partner here!
