absolutely ...
I run the lowest possible recovery speed conditions allow...If im running recovery speed of 3 , and get a deep weak signal...i will drop the recovery and MANY times ..the signal got much better...on deep iffy high tones, i suspect could be silver , I do all this AND try 4khz and sometimes that makes the signal even more solid

Shouldn't mtc8966's GB numbers be higher in mineralized clay?
It was brought up once in this thread the need for a target free spot to do ground balance. Targets and iron will affect it and produce an erroneous GB, right? And the resulting GB numbers will be low, correct? mtc8966 are you finding a clear spot to do your GB?
Sometimes I find there are so many targets and so much iron I cannot find a clear space to do GB. What I do in that case is lower sensitivity until I get a clear spot and then GB. Is this a valid method?
