Just a quick catch-up since my last post, which was back in October.
November was slow. The month started off pretty good with a nice double hoop 14k earring in the water. The beach was still eroding then with nice rip currents, but then the beach got sanded in bad, and has stayed that way. Since then, I've made just a few silver finds up on top of the beach.
Late in the month I picked up a nice little diamond engagement ring from a parking strip, the first gold ring I've recovered from a strip, probably because I never used to dig tabs while I was shooting the strips for silver coins (the Mercury is from a strip. The Rosy is from the beach before it sanded in, also my first silver coin from the beach). It's a small, but classy ring.
It's been so sanded in the last month, I decided to scout some inland parks.
What a great decision! Park hunting for rings has been banging this week; my best parks week yet! I could only make 2 quick trips, a total of less than 4 hours searching but what a productive time it was, with two nice rings coming to light. In fact, one of them is in a class all it's own. It's an 11.29dwt., 5mm wide, size 14 Platinum band! It's so huge, that when I first saw it yesterday, I wasn't sure if it was a wedding band or some sort of industrial fitting! Seriously, check the video.
Tuesday, I unearthed a nice 18k white gold wedding band, size 10, 4mm wide, 3.47dwt. That was my first white gold band.
It's been so much fun, I can't wait to do it again!
Platinum ring is wider than a quarter, play the video, it's short
Compare the size 14 platinum band to the size 10 white gold 18k band!
14k Hoop earring; 14k with .15carat diamond engagement ring; platinum and 18k white gold wedding bands; costume engagement ring combo; silver chains, medallion, misc.
Classy little engagement ring
