I am curious what the MDF community suggests or what you are using for cleaning items using electrolysis. I have been using electrolysis for years but in the back on my mind I have always wanted to ask members what and how MDF members are using to clean their finds. So today is the day I would like to know what I am missing out on.

Thank you all and God Bless.

What manual battery charger do you recommend?
The higher the amperage, the quicker the results. 9v 1a is pretty good. A 500ma is ok just takes longer. Look at the output and it should tell you the amperage (1.2a) after the voltage (9v).

For example, this one is 9v 1000ma. Or 9 volt 1 amp.

I use a DC bench power supply. You can manually set whatever volts/amps you want. It's more controllable which I like, but also it's hard to find a battery charger that doesn't have a safety disconnect built in for a short. Which it will do when you turn it on in water.

I've been using a typical 9v AC adapter for many years and only have to replace the stainless steel spoon/fork I use on the positive clip as the electrode. Never had one short.

Then it probably doesn't have an internal safety switch.

I still enjoy the DC supply. Dial in what you want. It makes a difference for my iron pieces especially. A thick piece I can run higher and faster, wrought iron I can slow down to not blow it apart.
