I really like 50 tones so I have no need for the tone options. Recovery of 3 on the nox 600 is a perfect balance between speed and depth. Iron Bias of 1 or 2 on the nox 600 should be enough to knock out most of the iron falsing. Multi IQ is the only setting 90% of Equinox users will be using and its availiable on both models. The adjustable backlight on the 800 would be nice. The 600s backlight is ridiculously bright but that's not worth $250. If you hunt open areas without a lot of noise pollution(people, waves, wind) then you really don't need headphones and if you do on rare occasions just use the wired ones Decent wireless phones are only $70 extra anyway.
