I hate it in the mountains when winter comes. From a MTN TN boy to a old man and I decided FL was the place to be. Heck we hunt here at night in Feb. And as Mud so eloquently put it. Someone else mows my yard.
Discharging the capacitor is the main safety thing, but once you take the magnets out I would be careful to keep them away from any electronics, especially computer hard drives !
No problem, and I know people should realize this, but just to be on the safe side to have it in people's mind I did edit my post you quoted to add:
"Edit to add: it should go without saying, but obviously make sure the microwave is unplugged before opening up and discharging the capacitor prior to taking it apart to get the magnets out."
