Compadre out...F2 back in...GOLD AND DIAMONDS!!! Update-Appraisal below...

I know where some basketball courts are and gonna for sure keep it in mind. They have served you more than very well.

Just some luck and perseverance and having some discipline to dig a good amount of trash.
Even though every court doesn't have finds like these, well worth it in my mind when I look at my better finds from all of these type of sites I have hunted.

That is a truly awesome ring. Can't believe it's a "man's" wedding ring though. I mean look at the diamonds. If that was mine I would for sure be trying to sell it and use the money to buy a Fisher waterproof machine.

Wow! Way to go! That's one heck of a ring. I'd get that bad boy appraised... That's worth some bucks for sure. Nicely done! Congrats!

Always enjoy reading your posts Digger.
Then I usually read it again and again to glean any info I can.
The guys always give me a hard time when we hunt because I love the B-Ball Courts, Tennis Courts, etc. Have found some really nice items when detecting those areas. Not as nice as that ring though! Well done sir!

And thanks again!
It is 5:23 pm and I am about to get ready to go to my monthly club meeting at 6:30.
I might get there a little early tonight.
The first thing I am going to do is ask our secretary to test my diamonds because she always brings a tester.
As soon as they test good, I will try to stay calm, but right now my heart is just beating so hard because I want to show this thing off so badly to some people that can really appreciate how rare a find like this is.

Now I wonder how long it will take and in what form a find would be that can top this one.
People ask me if it gets to me sometimes when they read about how many targets I dig including all the trash.

I always say no, and now I have something with 9 sparkly little exclamation points that I can happily place at the end of that answer.

Does your club have find of the month contests? If so that sparkler should win hands down!

I'm back...and I did win best jewelry award for this month.
A nice 1964 silver dime.

Got there early and had our secretary test the diamonds and the tester went nuts.
"Oh yea, these are definitely real", were her exact words.

This thing got passed around through several hands, and many of those hands were attached to heads with faces that appeared kind of jealous.
A bunch of congrats all night long for me...a great feeling for sure.

Love my club and the great people, and I sure do love this hobby!

Outstanding find! I would still be laying there, passed out beside the ball court.

From what I remember I was very happy, but actually I didn't do any dance or freak out in any emotional way at that moment when I saw the diamonds and then the 14k.
I think mostly that was because I was in shock a little bit.
Probably shocked more than a little bit.

I got a little more emotional after I got home and studied it a little more, and then saw some similar ones on the net and what they were going for.
Now it's 3 days later...emotions still flying high!

Digger27, there is no one more deserving of that gem than you my friend!
Congratulations again!

Wow-- that's an awesome find!! Get it appraised--- those yellow diamonds could be worth a bit. That's a great ring! I don't think it's ugly at all. Those yellow diamonds are gorgeous!

Ok one thing i gotta ask. We havent heard a lot from you in a while captain Digger. Is it possibly cause you was out diggin trash for weeks to find this gem? Im not saying its now worth to dig lots of trash. To be honest im very jelious of this ring. Its HUGE$$$$

I freak out when I find a junk ring (two this weekend plus a sterling silver ring), and can only guess what happy dance I'll do when I find gold.

Awesome find.
