My girlfriend and I stumbled across an old bottle dump on some family property recently. It's in a pretty dense wooded area and there are bottles strewn everywhere. We didn't have much time that day, but laying on the surface we found one of those T-shaped doodads from an old Ford's buzz coil, so we knew the stuff must be pretty old.
I went back this past weekend for a couple hours of fun. After about an hour, a muddy oval item, that felt like it had to be metal, popped out of the ground. I gave it a quick wipe on one side and couldn't believe my eyes. US it said!
How or why this ended up thrown away still baffles me, but I'm thrilled that I found it. Not to mention, it really has my mind racing, thinking about what else could be in there! We're headed back tomorrow to find out!
