Boston MA Area

I have done some less then productive hunts in Boston over the years. If you have any potential sites in mind let me know and I'll go by check them out and report back to you:theatral: Newton guy here. There are a bunch of guys here from the area... they all stink so just let me know:neat: All kidding aside there are some places I would like to hunt, just can't get on them. Are you new to hunting?

Getting back into detecting after a few years off. Been to some public parks in the area with a bit of success (no silver yet but a fair amount of wheaties). Itll take time to get through the trash and find the deeper, older stuff.

Hello mdbrody3... Welcome to the forum.

I belong to the largest MD club in the area MTHA (Massachusetts Treasure Hunting Association). We meet in Newton, Mass. Click on our club name at left to go to our web site. I am the Membership Secretary and club Librarian and have been a member for more than 35 years.

We host an annual Open Hunt in October at Houghton's Pond in Milton (the Blue Hills). "Open", meaning the hunt is open to all who wish to participate. It's on Oct 7th this year. We will be posting hunt registration details at our web site in the next few weeks. I will also be posting details here on this forum, in the "Clubs, Hunts & Events" section, when I get the go-ahead from our "Huntmaster". We also have a few "member-only" hunts each year.

Why not drop by one of our meetings as a guest and you may be able to find a hunting buddy in one of our members.

Good luck and happy hunting !

Jim
