I'm on days off right now from the rig and figured I'd better get a few more hunts in before good old winter comes.
I went back to Orrin, ND where I scored a 1921-D Merc and 3 rare tokens last year. The guy who gave me a huge permission last year gave me the go ahead but told me to bring Orange as it's opening day of deer season up here.....forgot Orange but I survived.
I got there at about 10 this morning and found the 2 blocks of his property I mowed with my Bobcat last year were way overgrown again, probably 2' to 3' high so that was a No go. Decided to do the mowed right-of-ways and it turned out to be a good decision.
It kind of sucked at first being that it was about 25 degrees out and the ground was frozen in the shady areas. It warmed up to about 40 degrees but it wasn't terrible.
I was there in search of another Orrin token but it wasn't in the cards today.
Ended up getting a 1917-P Walker, 1943 Washington, 1954-D Rosie, 4 wheats, a soap token, a rugged looking play money and a nice religious pendant.
It was a good day!
