That leafy thing you have might be silver also. It appears to be a USAF Lt. Col emblem. However it has veins on it and the newer ones do not. Maybe the old ones did?

That leaf is silver too, even if it is not marked. It is a Lieutenant Colonel pin. I found one that wasn't marked. They were making them so fast in WW II that they couldn't mark them all. Marked W25?
