Big rimfire case - .44 Henry maybe?

A recent hunt yielding a bunch of coins from @1900-1927 also produced this rimfire case, larger caliber than any rimfire I'd ever dug before. Pretty beat up, but the case head is about .50 so I figured .44 was a good guess. First Google hit on ".44 rimfire" was .44 Henry, and the case length of .875" seems to match up, but I didn't dive too deep. Looks like the cartridge was last chambered in @1881 but ammo was produced into the 1930s so it would still fit the time frame. I am not seeing a headstamp but maybe a little tumbling will reveal one. Any input would be great, I love finding old-time calibers.

I have found those same shell casings at old sites here in Michigan, always wondered what they were.

I think the Henry case had two rim strikes and an "H" on the base.
I was thinking it was the .44 Henry caliber but not fired from a Henry rifle necessarily, looks like several other rifles and a revolver were chambered for it. I have some old gun books that might show it and maybe similar sized cartridges I will try.
