Big Boys Hobbies has the The Nokta Accupoint

My carrot has served me well, if I could just get over some amazing targets like you guys!!!

So has my carrot and all of Garrett's p.p. might look around of my pointer dies, but never had one die on me yet ! :?: :mder: With all the accessories for the pin pointers anymore, like the accordion wire that attaches to your pointer, then somewhere on yourself, in fact I'm charging up my 9 volts right now.

Received the Accupoint yesterday. Having issues...Accu paired up immediately with headphones and the Legend. Took it out in the backyard, Legend is telling me a penny. Turn on the Accu and it instantly paired to the headphones. Accu set on full sensitivity can't find it. Pulled out the carrot and pinpointed the coin before it even hit the ground.

Turned off the Accu and the HP's will not pair back to the Legend unless I go to the bluetooth settings and manually pair it back. I will play around some more with it later. Hopefully it's operator error. Stay tuned.

It must be for beta testers because I can't find it on their website. Never mind found it buried.

Thank you Valley Hunter for the heads up. I just updated to 1.13 and the switch/lag time between the head phones, Legend and the Accupoint is instantaneous. Depth is not as good as the carrot from what I can tell so far.

Got my Accupoint today. It has quite a few configuration settings. The iron/conductive discrimination setting is cool. It whines like a sick dog if its iron ; LOL. I could see that perhaps being a big help when chasing falsing iron signals or big iron ... you know those situations when you are chasing silver and get a good conductive sounding tone and can't easily find the target in your plug or hole. If the Accupoint says its iron at that point; you fill in the hole and move on... no need to continue to dig into the walls of the hole etc continue to search for the target. Another thing I like is the sound/speaker ports are on the back end of the pinpointer not on the side where they can easily fill with mud and degrade the sound loudness. It comes with a spare detachable tip so when the first one starts to wear down; you replace it. In open air tests on factory settings it is more sensitive than my Garrett Carrot. Starting real life hunting with it tomorrow. At home on the bench Accupoint seems like a winner.

For my first pinpointer, I bought a $20 cheapo pinpointer, just to see if I wanted to get an expensive pinpointer. Because of the stupid "on the side" speaker location, the speaker kept filling up with mud and dirt. Plus, even when it wasn't filled with dirt, it sucked in a windy or noisy environment, because the speaker wasn't even facing my head! lol

I'm interested in your field tests tomorrow for sure. I'm still fiddling with settings, but it's definitely not as sensitive as the carrot with coins on edge. Carrot finds them buggers and the Accupointe doesn't even beep at 9 sensitivity. And I'm noticing EMI and have to switch frequencies to quite it down. I LOVE the ferrous check!!!!!

Carrot must doing something right, most popular going for years, if somebody puts it down, must be a funky p.p. ? I'm pretty sure, all my pin pointers have been Garrett. I don't know squat about other brands. That is why I enjoy reading about other brands in here. I do remember having some battery issues, just changed batteries, and it was fine. This is my experience with them, others might talk different, that is fine, hope they find what they want.

Dig, I changed 9 volt batteries in my carrot, some batteries were fine, others not so good, but the " Carrot" has been great for me, just never tried other brands.

Yes it was the Everready 9V (we have since boycotted that name and call them NEVERready ) that the Garrett did not like. Which makes one wonder why on earth they would come included with the Garrett 🤔 looking forward to these accupoint reviews, please keep them coming!

It's 24 degrees right now, I will wait till it hits mid 30s before I go out. I'm going to try and take a short video of the carrot and accu in the field. Definitely a difference in depth but I still am learning the Accu.
