Big Boys Hobbies has the The Nokta Accupoint

Just back from a 4 hour hunt; sadly the Accupoint did not perform well in the dirt. Numerous times when the Carrot was right on top of the target and indicating the target very strongly (a solid tone from the Carrot); I would estimate 1/2 inch away, the Accupoint would not even beep. A factory reset did not change the situation. Although this pin pointer is loaded with features and I'd like it to work; it doesn't perform well. Not sure if my unit is defective or this is status quo; I think sadly the lover affair is over. Life is too short to do QC and/or beta test when paying good money. I'll try again tomorrow but suspect I will return it.

I was going get out today but the rain/snow will keep me inside. I noticed the same results with the exact same pinpointers yesterday.
