Gonna have to get it tested.... No markings saying if it is but several people have said/asked the same thingCool finds. Is that watch face silver?
My research has come up with at least 1924-1929 Bulova used sterling watch dials on their art deco style watches that ran through the 1930s. Still want to get it tested to find out for sure. Be a sweet 1st silver if it is.That watch dial is very cool. But, as a watch guy and someone who is a hobbyist watchmaker, I'm gonna bet that it isn't silver. I may be wrong but I've never seen a sterling silver dial on a watch. The main reason being is that it would tarnish and you'd have to take the watch completely apart to polish it.
