Back a few years ago when my girlfriend was using a Fisher F2 it used two 9 volts to power it and we used rechargeable Eneloops in it. Had good luck with them.
I just ordered some 9v rechargeables for my pinpointer after reading where you got from apr-nov before having to recharge. 9v are expensive so I bought extra for smoke alarms as well.

Yup me too and in my remotes, laser levels, ir camera, camera, range finder, cable chaser, stud sensors, radios, and other things i cant remember. Unfortunately I go to get some and there isn't any to be found.
