Antique Duck Head Button

Hey fellow diggers, I went digging today on some friends property where an old road bed ran through. I started heading toward the road bed and got a hit on my AT Pro in the high 60s. I dug my plug and located a button. I couldn't make out what was on it until I got it home. under the magnifying glass. Here is a link with a picture of the button I found. It's the one on the left. If anyone has any info on this button I would appreciate it.

Your picture didn't come thru, but I also dug a very old duck head button. I dug mine on a union winter camp. This was some years ago and I would never be able to locate that info, but my memory tells me it went back before the civil war, but there was no indication of the name "Duck Head" having been used back then. I would be interested in any additional info you happen to get.

Can you post a pic of yours? I believe the one I found is around 1860's also

Here it is. Looks pretty crude and basic the duck that is which leads me to believe possibly 1892.
