Andy Sabisch Equinox book

I just got finished sterilizing this thread... it took a while... this thread is about Andy Sabisch Equinox book...

I also removed all the quoted posts...

You sure did ! That was some battle zone , you must be a bit tired. Good job ! I read a bit of the unpurified thread and had to leave .

I got Andy's Equinox book with my Nox that I bought used . I think it's great . He makes things easy to understand without complicating things .
I need things explained clearly or I just shut off . In my opinion it's well worth the money .

And How !

The manual does a nice job of describing what the various settings are and how to change them. But, it would be four times as long if it went into detail on the why, where, or when. Yes, beach mode is supposed to be for beaches, etc.... Park 2 is good for finding fine jewelry in dense shallow trash, etc...

In other words, people are interested in how-to books like this because they're looking for recommended settings and techniques for very specific conditions.

Maybe we can get the other three portions in the next book.

I've used some of the settings and techniques. from them I've learned to understand some of the conversation here in the forum.

Does the book not really go into the why, when and where? It's mostly additional explanation of the purpose of each setting and how to change them? I just assumed these sorts of manuals would go deeper than that, so to speak.

It certainly covers those bases and does go deeper. As with any theory and practical application, there could be much more. But I would expect a 1000 page tome to cover it all. Of course I would be the nerd to read it all....
