Greetings of the day to all, i live in the middle east and where do i live possing a metal detector of any kind is illegal (keeping in mind the entire country is treasure hunting lol), due to rarely you can get a MD and Super expensive according to market x2 of the online price, i stumbled upon this device, i need an advice before i buy this detector, is it good for buried treasure? Does it reach 3 meters (as claimed by company online) does it penetrate stone, rock.. whatever advice would be helpful and if the device is like JeoSonar ((((an Atari console)))) please your wisdom help on which device brand and model i should twist my head towards!
Many thanks

They are claiming it is a U.S.Made but, i was digging in depth about it, on their website thr device is (the usual polish)ed, i read the manual i got shocked that it reaches the depth of maximum 200cm to 500cm "depending on the soil with a 36x41 coil. My knowledge about depth and coils the larger the coil the more depth it can reach "i am amongst masters i am pretty sure is this correct? "
Anyways, the device is polished with their fancy words and marketing of course, i want to try it out first then i will also give feed back here for the knowledge to be spread, is there any advice from you professional detectors can give me when testing the device? Please i would appreciate a list of advices and what to look at when testing. Cheers

Do you understand what "scam" means. If not, you need to look the word up in the dictionary, you will see a picture of this detector next to the definition. RUN AWAY!!!!!!

Here is a link to a topic on Detector Prospector about the Gold Stinger X5. It runs four pages but the first page is about the X5 specifically.

Even reading the "manual" doesn't tell me much except that the manual claims this is a multi frequency VLF. That ability to be multi frequency appears to actually be selectable single frequency and requires a coil change to go from 7 kHz (big coil) to 14 kHz (smaller coil). The manual says "made from technologies made in the USA."

Maybe that phrase "made from technologies made in the USA" refers to the old Garrett Gold Stinger.

I would stay several thousand miles away from the Gold Stinger X5.

It is definitely not made in the USA. My guess would be China or somewhere nearby.

........ it reaches the depth of maximum 200cm to 500cm "depending on the soil with a 36x41 coil. .......

The only items you are going to find, at those depths, are refrigerator and volkswagen sized objects.
