Bought my Ace 250 almost a year ago, used it very lightly and now it acts up. I cannot pinpoint 50% of the time and I have NEVER had a good solid tone, even when I air test it outdoors. What do I do? I can't send it back easily this time of year. Should I wait?

I would send it back to Garrett. Their customer service is second to none and they will have you up and going in no time.

I had an Ace years ago and if I remember correctly you can hold in the power button for a little while and do a factory reset, worth a try.

I would send an email or call Garrett before mailing if the reset does not work, they may have you check a couple things and/or send only part of it in....But they are great at customer service!

I had a similar problem with my 350 it ended up being a loose connector from the coil to the control box. I ended up tightening it up with a pair of needle nose pliers been fine ever since! Just an idea?

I tried resetting it, the air testing is fine now. Haven't tried pinpointing (too much snow.) The connector is on tight... Won't come off either. If all else fails I will definitely email Garret. Thanks!
